Practical information
Here you will find all practical information about the lessons.
Here you will find the extensive general terms and conditions.
Register and Register
You first register for a trial lesson, if you decide to take lessons afterwards, I will send you a link with which you can register for the bass lesson. You can also register in the middle of a teaching year. If you join in the middle of a month, I will deduct the number of lessons for the month in question from the first invoice. Registration runs until cancellation and is not automatically stopped at the end of the school year.
Lesson frequency
You can take lessons weekly or take lessons every other week. For continuity, I recommend taking lessons weekly. The regularity of weekly lessons provides a good incentive to keep practicing. Of course, it is not possible for everyone to take lessons every week. Lessons every other week are a great alternative.
Lesson times
I teach between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM
Schedule
Everyone gets a permanent place in the schedule, we plan this together. If it later turns out that another time is more suitable, we can always see if anything can be shifted.
Teaching days
The days on which you can take lessons are Monday and Tuesday.
Lesson duration
A bass lesson lasts 45 minutes
Address
The lessons take place in my home studio at Mathenesserdijk 280A2
Holiday and Planning
I follow the official holiday schedule for the secondary schools in the Central Netherlands region. There are no lessons during school holidays. The annual schedule can be found HERE .
Payment
For the payment of the tuition fees, I send a monthly invoice with a fixed amount by e-mail. The amount is based on the tuition for an entire year and is invoiced in ten installments. You will not receive an invoice in the months of July and August. If you prefer to receive an invoice quarterly, half-yearly or annually, that is also possible. For students who have weekly lessons, a school year consists of 40 teaching moments. Students who attend classes every other week receive 20 lessons per year. The amount depends on the chosen lesson frequency and all rates can be found HERE . Due to holidays, you may have more lessons one month than another. You pay for the membership, not per lesson. The monthly invoice amount is based on the total number of lessons per year, divided by 10 months.
VAT
To encourage art education, the government has determined that students under the age of 21 are exempt from paying VAT on music lessons. Students over 21 years old do pay VAT on the tuition fees. All rates on my website include VAT.
Cancel
If you cannot attend a lesson, you are not entitled to a make-up lesson or a refund of the tuition fee. If you inform me in time (at least 24 hours prior to the lesson) that you cannot attend the lesson, I will do my best to reschedule the lesson. Unfortunately, this is not always possible and no rights are derived from this. If you are unable to attend more than three consecutive lessons due to illness or family circumstances, I ask you to report this to me and the tuition fee can be refunded after consultation.
To cancel
I apply a notice period of 1 calendar month. So you are never committed to an entire teaching year. If you want to cancel the bass lesson, send an email stating the cancellation. The cancellation starts in the month following the month in which you canceled the drum lesson. This means that you will continue to take classes for another 1 month in addition to the current month and tuition fees will be charged. If you cancel in the middle of the year, the amount you paid per lesson may be slightly higher or lower than if you had completed a full school year. This difference is not compensated.
